You are still able to sustain yourself and most people can get through this particular diet without any severe hunger pangs.
The general recipe for the master cleanse is to take 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of raw, organic maple syrup and a pinch of cayenne pepper and a glass of water. You can drink this throughout the day, perhaps drinking as many as 12 of them spaced out evenly. The only other thing that you’re allowed to have on this diet is peppermint tea.
In the morning, you will do a salt water flush which consists of a quart of water and 2 teapoons of salt. If you have a difficult time drinking this much salt water, simply mix the salt in a small amount of water, drink it quickly and then follow it with the quart of water. In the evenings, you will add a cup of laxative tea and the combination between these two things can get things moving.
Most people tend to stay on this diet for 10 days, but it is possible for you to stay on it up to 40 days or more under certain circumstances. One thing’s for certain, once you’re on this diet for a few days you will begin to understand exactly why people do these cleanses as the mind will become clear and the body will feel great.
